On the home front, I thoroughly enjoyed the long, extended fall with pleasant weather. What I did not enjoy was ‘da Devil trying to get me with Influenza A and pneumonia the first go around and Covid, the second visit to the hospital in December. I escaped again! The other members of the family have hunkered down in the colder weather, I think we are all waiting for spring.

  Every night I watch the news and I feel sorry for the Palestinians getting the dickens bombed out of them! I am amazed at the amount of tunnelling done in Gaza. Somebody spent a lot of money getting the tunnels made and taking away all that dirt! These appear to be not just holes in the ground but are steel aligned and reinforced tunnels. And no where have they found any hostages. It would appear to me that the hostages are dead or in another country – they are not in Gaza. I hope this is all over soon but my suspicion tell me it could be something much bigger.   

  In our own country it has now come to light that the Government has allowed 500,000 refugees into Canada this past year. Now Montreal and Toronto are complaining that they don’t have money and resources to take care of all these people. Both the premiers of Toronto and Quebec have asked the Government for more money. Do they need more money or are they just using this as an excuse to be able to get more money?? This country was built on Immigration. As near as I can see there is still a labor shortage in Canada!                                                 Trudeau’s idea of a qualified Immigrant is one that will vote for him once they arrive here. Labor skills be damned! Will we ever be rid of this Trudeau government??  

Joke of week: It is a truly rotten deal when Sophia can divorce this Justin guy and the rest of Canada are stuck with him!
